1 Month
*He has a full head of the softest hair ever that doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon.
*His eyes are still a deep dark blue and we pray everyday that they don't change. He is just now starting to focus on toys and faces as his vision develops.
*He is a champion eater. He breastfeeds and takes a bottle-no problem! Right now Red is eating 4 oz of milk every 3 hours!
*Red has started smiling in response to voices, especially mommy's. We also get the cutest smiles after a big toot.
*He is incredibly strong! His neck muscles are insane. You have to be careful or he might take a nose dive right off your shoulder if you aren't looking. RJ will crane his head and neck all around at the sound of daddy's voice.
*The poor thing is in 3 month onesies just for length. The newborn sizes give him a perma-wedgie. He has super tall parents, what can I say?
*Speaking of strength, he will put weight on his legs and kicks non-stop through every diaper change. Baby boy also loves happily kicking through his entire bath and screams when we try to take him out.
*Redfeather loves to be held while he sleeps and knows right away if you try to fool him by propping a pillow next to him. Red also likes to be upright while sleeping which leads me to believe he might have a little reflux because he gives us the biggest baby burps I have ever heard! He is currently waking every 3 hours to eat. He will have 1 hour of awake time and then go down for 2 hours before waking again. This is how it has been since he was born. There is no difference between day and night. I'm hoping we will get longer stretches of sleep soon! Mommy needs it!
Sequoyah and I love this sweet baby more than anything in the world. We can't wait to watch him grow! Happy one month birthday Little Red!
